Sorry if this a dead horse subject but I broke a front mud guard while changing my transmission and transfer case oils. Anyone know of a good replacement that's not so frigging low to the ground? Thanks

I had to replace one of mine recently. After driving through the Kansas wind to pick up some boat parts down in Oklahoma it split. Kinda expensive but as far as I am concerned a necessity. I off road everyday twice a day, sometimes more. If I thought I had a rust issue now without the flaps I would for real. The mud flaps keep the salt and road grime off, deflect dead armadillo guts and deflect all the mud and gravel I have to traverse each day. Yeah, I live down a dirt road.

The Husky ones are supposedly a softer plastic that is less prone to breaking. They are shorter than OEM, but in my opinion, still hang down too far. The bad part is that they are more cup shaped than OEM and would probably look goofy if you cut them. I have them on the rear, but haven't put mine on the front yet for that reason.

I went with the Husky front mud guards which seem to have better clearance with larger tires and they are better in terms of ground clearance. They attach similar to the stock ones with the exception of how it attaches to the flares. No drilling is required but you do need three of the stock threaded fasteners on each side.

I debated this for a while. I finally just removed and haven’t looked back. What i feel due to my freedom of mud-flaps can not be described!

It does look really good, but the side of your truck ends of getting pebbled with rock chips over time.

Just remove the other side too and move on. Really no point in having front mud flaps anyways, and our trucks look much better without them.
