Another vote for the ridge grapps. I've got 60k miles on mine, easily have another 30k. Good traction, and the best looking hybrid IMO.

Heading to higher altitude today; rain in the valley, wet snow up high. Very glad I switched from the Toyo MT to the M-55 a few weeks ago.

Should be interesting…the truckers don’t like chaining up in the cold rain (I can sympathize) but by the time they hit the snow line, it’s often too late and they are sideways across the road.

not great tbh. For that, your best bet is an actual winter tire

Switched back to the Toyo MTs on March 01, which resulted in nearly a metre of snow at our local resort. You’re welcome!

Very glad I have a truck bed filled with snow for some extra weight on the rear wheels, and I am spending a lot of time in 4WD. Would not have switched this early in a normal winter, but I was going in for other routine maintenance and my preferred dealer is an hour away.
Lesson learned….at no real cost other than a 138 dollar fill-up after only 450 km. Things will get better once the highways are bare….

Living along the Columbia Gorge, in the mountainous areas of Hood River and Bend, Oregon, has made the BFGoodrich All Terrain KO2 tires my best choice for both winter and summer. I've used them on my Tahoe and Dodge, and although I haven't tried them on my Tacoma yet, they have proven to be champions in the snow and, with precautions, also perform very well on ice.
