I'm running 35" BFG KM2s on my '11 Wrangler Rubicon and they are the quietest MTs I've ever had. Way quieter than the stock BFG KMs on the Rubi. The KM2s were reasonable in price and balanced well on a 17" wheel. No vibration and no uneven wear.

I ran a set of Firestone MT 30x9.5R15 on a Chevy Tracker and they were very loud , however I also ran a set of Hankook MT on the same Tracker and found that sound level was good for a MT.

Really pleased with 285/70r17 Nitto Trail Grapplers. No cleat like lug walk feeling, super smoothe on road and only whirr at 70+. Previous mud tires sounded like a prop plane. VERY happy. Ridicoulous traction in all terrain and weather too.

My set of MTR's are very quiet. Honestly you would never know except the aggressive tread pattern.

    Lots to come
I had a set of Hankook Dynapro muds on my '09....looked great...wore really well....but....REALLY noisy on the hwy. I am going with Hankook ATMs on my '12. I am thinking they will be quieter without sacrificing the aggressive look

Went through 2 sets of Kumho MT's on mine. They were really quiet IMO on the freeway. They were too quiet and boring, so I got Nitto Mud Grapplers this time and I even wish the MG's made more noise.

I might go back to the Kumho's next time because the MG's are so freakin heavy.

Or maybe regear and run 35 MG's. HA!

I've got the KM2s and they're pretty quiet, the only noise issue I have is rub when turning. But... That's due to too big of tires, too small of lift haha. But like others have said, if you don't need MTs but just want a more aggressive looking tire then I'd say get a street friendly AT, my MPGs suffered horribly when I went from stocks to the KM2s

I run 255/75r17. I think they're great on and off road! They're pretty quiet too for mud terrains

my toyo trail grapplers m/t are awesome i love them they hold curves well on the street are not loud and grip like crazy.

the only down side would be snow and or ice i would think due to the lack of sipping
