I currently run 315/70/17 Mickey Thompson MTZ tires and have put about 40,000 miles on them and may have another 5,000 to 10,000 left, but I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for another mud tire that got good mileage and was reasonably quiet? My MTZs arent too bad but I do feel like I have to yell when talking and definitely cant talk on the phone while on the highway. Any better tire experiences?

KM2 or Nitto Trail Grappler IMO, but that's pretty much all you're going to get, opinions. I personally seen oversized KM2's and Trails get over 50k with proper upkeep on several setups. 50/50 split on highway/off road useage. Hope the info helps and good luck!

Yeah everyone will have different experiences but any opinions are better than nothing! I just hate talking to dealers and shops because most push the most expensive tire or the one with the largest profit margin on you. I don't want to get a soft tire and it wear quickly at the expense of the quieter ride but any improvement would be better than none

All I can say is my KM2s were fairly quiet when they were new. After 20k miles or so on them, they've gotten pretty damn loud. I have to crank up the stock stereo pretty high to hear anything. I think this scenario plays out the same way with almost any MT tire.

KM2 is the most aesthetic MT imo.

Any experience with a good AT tire?

I appreciate everyone's input. I am in grad school and broke so I have to get it right!
