I got the Mastercraft Courser M/T and they are great aired down offroad, and they have some road noise, but its not bad, and they dont wander on the road at all. I would say its a good tire.

I like them , they are good in all conditions and do a pretty good job of clearing the wet snow we get on the coast , if there is any drawback , they are pretty " hummy " on the highway . I do 99% rural driving and they are not loud , but the odd time I travel on a highway , it gets to be a bit much after a while .

Great tire for what they were intended for though .

Previous 4 Wheel and Offroad commentaries didn't include such gushing reviews of the Hankooks. I want if some advertising dollars played a part in the way that 'study' turned out...

I Think im going with the Toyo Open Country M/T, almost identical to the Cooper Stt for way cheaper.

This is what I'm rocking as well as about another 2-4 people in our local club. I've only had them for a few months but they've done good by me for these past snowy Canadian winter days.

MTZs have full length siping that goes through the tread blocks. Find me another M/T that has that. :p

And lets face it...MTZs look bad ass.

Okay sure... and Four Wheeler says they rated them as #2 and #3 out of 10... so yes, they are good. They didn't test the Cooper STTs, which is what I owned once... and they were very good in mud. However, like perhaps all mud tires, they are loud on the highway.

Hankook Dynapro MTs were rated #1 by Four Wheeler this year.

Cooper owns Mickey Thompson, and if you look at them, the treads are pretty similar.

i personally like the kevlars because they were made specifically for the military to begin with because they can supposedly take a .22 to the side wall without damage.

Yes they are good tires, but for the price i would rather get Toyo M/T's for half the price. plus they have sipes for winter driving. Look them up, there great tires and i havent seen many on here. Do they sell them down in the states?

Sure, Ian. I have the ATm's on my taco but I read in Off Road that the MT's were good. I thought the price would be comparable to what I paid for my tires. The BFG TA-KO's were almost twice the price of the ATm's.
