Jeff, if you want to do some serious mudding i would find an old beater chev or ford and throw some big tires under.

If you want to wheel your tacoma, then yes make it a 4wd. If you still REALLY want to mud your tacoma, then look into a 6" fabtech lift, 4wd, regear, and some 35" tires

If all you are going to do is mud then just get some good aggressive tires and a locker. You'll be 75% as good as a decent 4x4 at 1/3 the price.

(that is my once-a-month good info)

I guess you can't read either. I never asked what kind of truck I should get. I already have the truck I want but thought I would ask some questions to help me with direction.

For some reason I take everything you say as a joke. Please stop posting on my thread and I will leave your stickers alone.

I suggested two options. Dont get your tampon in a bunch

    A. You could buy a dedicated mudding truck so you dont ruin your nice tacoma

    B. You could put a 6" lift and regear so you can fit and turn the 35's

At least I don't have rainbow stickers on my truck. I also bet you have rainbow truck nuts dangling from your ass.

My taco is not my daily driver and I already got gears for the rear from my uncle today. They are 529 and should work well.
I get pissed when people hate on my truck since its not a red neck Chevy.

I dont think anyone here is hating on your truck. They're hating on the idea of mudding it. People here have a lot of respect for their trucks and when someone talks about beating the crap out of it they can sometimes think that you're not right in the head.

But again its your truck and you can do as you please. No it may not be the best truck to turn into a mudding truck, but if thats what you want to do, go for it.

    5:29s are a good choice for 35's or 37's

Dudeeeee, aside from what everyone else is saying.

Go with a six inch lift, slap some 33-35's on it.

If you are just wheeling it use some spacers with a 3".

If you are planning to be flexing i wouldn't be using spacers IMO, I honestly dont see why people hate on spacers so hard. My 95 bronco had a straight axle in the front, 3" lift springs, shocks and 3" spacers under the leafs. I daily drove it and i never had a problem, it wasn't meant to be a performance rig just to tear some stuff up.

    Get 4x4 though haha

I have never gotten my tacoma stuck in mud and its 100% stock supension and a 2.7 4cyl. with BFG A/T KO's that are stock sized. It's amazing what 2 more wheels can pull you through :p

Because the old Chevys and fords aren't pos's, and are perfectly suited for "mudding". Just trying to save another taco from demise . Sounds like you have your stuff figured out, have a nice day.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
^This^ then maybe look into the 4x4 conversion as it isn't cheap and easy.
    X2 on that.

I'll give you a break since you're new here, but lose the attitude.

I know I was asked to stay out of here, but since a mod has been here, I feel safe. Warm and cozy.
