So it's been raining by my house for a couple of days and today I decided to take the truck out In some mud. I had to go straight to work so I didn't have time to wash it. Will it hurt/ruin anything leaving all my suspension muddy over night until the morning, or am I good?

Easier to clean mud when wet versus dry. That is all.

Believe it or not...mud is extremely acidic. Especially the stuff we have up here in Alberta. I see your from San Diego so I'm going to assume it's mostly sand mixed with water. I know for a fact that if you leave even a little bit on your tires up here they will start to turn blue. Not sure about down there...but EVENTUALLY if not washed. Your tires will start to turn colour.

I personally would stay away from it dude. Unless you like changing seals. Axles seals are the first to go. Then bearings. That sandy mud will destroy "moving" parts very quickly. Like Jason said above. Easier to wash mud off while it's still wet. Rather than leave it sit and bake on over night.

    That's just my 2cents....

You'll be fine. The advice is correct, best to stay out of it but it is fun so occasionally is ok but it's up to you. Our mud is slightly acidic too and will discolor paint/tires if left on too long. Nothing to worry about for short term.
IMO road salt and mag chloride are far worse to leave on.

O for sure! I'm just kind of portraying the long term affects of it. It's not the greatest for the mechanical function of a vehicle. There is NO bearing or seal that can ultimately protects against mud and grim. And as said above, salt and chloride deicing agents are far worse than mud.

    Shit that scares me ^

Not that I've ever really gone mudding (and not in my taco), but I had no idea that mud could be acidic. That's scary...and I 100% agree on the sand aspect. Will grind up metal pieces in a hurry.
