    Thanks man. Nice looking truck.

I haven't taken my prerunner mudding yet...I really want to, but am a little hesitant - really don't want to get stuck. But hey, there's only one way to find out what your truck can do...and that's to do it.

Yeah man I hear ya. Best is to go with someone who is able to pull ya out, and just get enough speed when going through it all.

Agreed. Thing is, I have yet to find a place to go mudding near my place...im in central MO and there's not much of that here (unless I've missed it).

We got a pretty good snow storm in VT yesterday, still going today, tomorrow too probably. First day with our "new" 2006 taco in real snow

    cleaning off
    [IMG]

    getting out of the driveway
    [IMG]

it's a long driveway, still going.....

Digging out the Subaru, which we left on "the road", because we knew it wouldn't make it back out the driveway.

we eventually just pulled it out with the Taco.....then the Taco got stuck, and we pulled it out with the Subie (love that Subie!).....then my friend's TRD OR got stuck and we pulled that out with our Taco....pretty deep heavy snow, but fun all around.

By the way, both our truck and our friend's wouldn't shift into 4Low yesterday, bad day to have this happen. I tried searching the forums here for info on possible issues. If any can post a link to a thread that may have info why it won't go into 4wd LOW, please do.

    thanks.

Did you have it in 4-hi, then come to a stop and puch the clutch all the way in before trying to select 4-low? it should click right in if you do that.

yes, and yup, it "should", but didn't. While stopped, we'd put in the clutch, turn the dial and try to go, but the little light would blink and the beeper would go off, but no LOW. Kind of made me miss my old 2001 which had the 2nd stick shift, didn't need to rely on an electric switch and a solenoid <shrug>

Any threads deal with this before, or should I start a new one before messing up this fun pic thread?

    thanks.

if it was beeping, then either the clutch wasnt in far enough(has to be to the floor), or you were rolling. Those are the only conditions that wont lead to shifting into low, unless there is a total failure of the system. I've never once had a problem that wasnt due to me(I was either rolling, or didnt get the clutch all the way to the floor before trying.)

idk how the newer tacos are but i know with my dads 04 tundra, he has to shift into neutral and be at a complete stop in order to go in to 4lo
