Muffler Bearing Question

In all seriousness, a sticky kanuter valve can actually be easily fixed by making left handed turns in reverse. This causes the cytrifical bypass to spin the opposite direction pushing all the grime out the way it came in. Finish it off with some WD-39 (beacuse WD-40 is too heavy) and call it a day. As far as the muffler bearing, you might as well service the spare tire's brakes since you are already under the truck.

 

No cheating! Who here knows how WD-40 actually got it's name? (Honour system here guys!)

did you know, or did you look it up? lol...That is it. 40th formula for a water displacement chemical. They didn't even it's current use planned. It just happened to turn out that way.

A lot of guys actually know how WD-40 came about....well a lot of gear heads know anyway.

 

i knew and the blinker fluid resivoir on a 02 taco is under the passanger side ball and gag restraints

 

If I can find my cordless extension cord, I'm going to attempt to do none of the above repairs right after I go to sleep....

 

Mine is a 97. I know both are first gens, but the 97 didn't have the passenger side ball and gag restraints (As evidenced from my ex-girlfriends incessant babbling) Where would I look for it on the 97?

check under the left doohicky by the passanger side fender it should be adjacent to the spark arrestor belt

 

I found a picture of it. If anyone has a spare, let me know! The parts places are really stupid. They say they have never heard of one, but I had one on the truck last week! I jsut don't know where it went now.

 

Might want to order a new powerband while it's on the rack.
I heard the Toyota powerbands are backordered, but you can use a blue powerband from Yamaha and it'll last a bit longer.

 

Rich, I am shocked that you would recommend anything other than an OEM Toyota power band. You know as well as I do that if you use those cheap, aftermarket power bands that the flux capacitor will be over stressed and the time circuits short out!

 

Sorry... calls 'em as I sees 'em. The blue one worked great in my Yamaha.

 

I had no idea you could hit 88 mph on an aftermarket powerband. Assumed it had to be a toyota. Gonna save me serious money.
