Get a radius from the tire calculator

Use a tape measure from the center of the hanger to the pipe. IF that's the only reason you are cutting it.

Many cut it because its susceptible to crushing going over some obstacles. Some think it sounds better, which of course is subjective.

But its good to see you going skinny. Fatter isn't always better.

That’s what I was thinking when I saw this a while ago, especially if they have a cap.

    Which tires did you get?
The coopers fit in the oem spare location without having to relocate the tire hangar.
It is a bit close to the pipe but I don’t want to create a trd gas chamber.

Better just to have done a reroute of the pipe . wouldn’t cost u that much . And it would look cleaner .

@tonered has reported never having experienced any issues. i had smell and drone from mine, same cut, but i had a custom exhaust so that may be a part. i went back and added a tailpipe.

Not a single problem or smell for me. Nothing but a perfect amount of exhaust sound.

in other news I'm expecting a new muffler in the mail today, this will be my fourth on the truck, my second Spintech. currently on a Gibson, nice performance but not really a sound fan here. i liked my last Spintech, 3000XLP, but want to change the sound a bit. looking forward to more playing around with the exhaust.

Cool, I just ordered a Carven TR for my 2.7. At 54K miles on the stock exhaust, I am ready for a change of sound..

Now I am debating on doing this chop to my stock tailpipe, or leaving tailpipe as it is with the TRD tip. havent yet decided.
