Hi all - I am thinking of installing a magnaflow replacement muffler for my '04 2.4L. standard cab. I'm hoping someone out there knows, or can suggest, the right length magnaflow muffler to purchase, and if there were any issues with install when keeping the tailpipe (notably, making up length differential b/t stock and the shorter magnaflow). Thanks!
PS - I posted this in 1st gen forum, but thought i'd try this one too...

    Absolutely nothing..for now..
Just go to an exhaust/muffler shop and tell them to put it on. Find the muffler you think sounds best (youtube FTW) and take it to the shop.

If you need a little longer muffler to keep the tailpipe at the factory location, they'll just weld a little pipe to the back of the muffler, and wa-la.

As long as you bring the muffler in yourself, and you rake it to a decent shop, it shouldn't cost much.

Ask me how I know :D

great thanks. i noticed the magnaflow has an "offset" option for the inlet/outlet, similar to stock, but that one is shorter than the model that is not offset. just trying to figure out the best one for ease of install by the shop. better to go with offset (but shorter), or no offset (but longer)? fyi - neither one is is long as stock, which is 22"
