I've heard allot of good things about the jardine cat back. I'm looking around for some sound clips of it and the Borla cat backs.

If I'm not mistaking, I think the TRD Cat Back exhaust is a Borla.

Im still running stock but Ive been thinkin of running the URD. There isnt much in the way of catback choices for the XRunner, not quite sure why. I know the X is more specialized but you'd figure that thered be a good selection for a sports truck.

just recently put on a magnaflow and i really like it. Tried out the flowmaster 50s and the dynomax super turbo...the magnaflow sounds somewhere in the middle of the 2. A little louder than the dynomax but not as raspy as the flowmaster. I'm very happy with it.

I have a flowmaster single dual out side swept exhaust one thing you should know if you don't already depending on the series of flowmaster mufflers the louder they are the best in my opinion are the 50 series tame in the cab and at idle nice aggressive sound when in the throttle.

no kidding... ive got the 2.7 3rz... and would like a louder than stock exhaust but i also dont want it super loud...nor do i want the ricer sound... i like how they sound at idle but imo they sound to ricey when revved... i want to have that low note everywhere in the rpm range.... im thinking its not possible.... i definately do not wat a straight through muffler.... but im thinking that a 4cyl is just always going to sound like a 4cyl.... i have a cai... with the stock exhaust... the cai is kinda loud itself but i like the tone it gives off... id like to be able to hear my exhaust but i dont want to wake people up in the middle of the night... nor do i want to get pulled over for a loud exhaust...cops around here are assholes.... anybody have any ideas on a quieter muffler for my situation???

'09 4.0L V6 with a Dynomax Superturbo Muffler. Muffler cost me $40 and install was $100. It's a little deeper sounding than stock, and not much louder. Pretty quiet at cruising speeds, but definitely improved throttle response. I've noticed about a 1mpg gain in fuel efficiency with it.

If you are looking for performance, It is unlikely anything aftermarket will beat the stock rig. I went with a magnaflow cat-back to try to eek out an extra mpg or two and was sorely disappointed. All I got was a loud pickup, especially at 2750 rpm on the highway inside the cab. My mileage did not change, my power did not change. Rated 17-22. I get 17-22, if I'm careful. In my younger years I would probably have said it sounds nice, but now it just gives me a headache when I travel.

Having said that, I guess I should mention it was cheaper than stock.

Just swapped out my stock muffler for a Magnaflow. Nice and mellow with a throaty tone. Well, as throaty as a 2.7L can sound.:bananadance: Its the large one that's 24" long. Sounds great IMO.
