Alright so I'm looking to remove the stock sound out of my Tacoma. I've been looking at the Flowmaster 40 series delta flow. I have a question though because I don't know much about exhaust stuff.
    - I know you can buy dual pipes but I've heard keeping the single tip is better. Is this true?

    - What do adding chrome tips to the pipes do for sound?

    - Could i just buy the muffler and keep everything else stock?

    - Will i still get the great aggressive sound from just putting a stock muffler in?

    - Any other info i need to know before buying?
    Thanks

Tips do nothing, yes u can have them weld in a muffler only. And it depends on what you consider a "great agressive sound".

I have the aero turbine 2525xl, muffler only, and I like it a lot and get compliments on it all the time.

Did you have the Non-Resonated or Resonated? Do you know what the difference in these are?

The XL is the resonated version, which I don't think they make anymore, I haven't really followed the muffler market in a while cuz I've had mine for 3 yrs, but I'm pretty sure they still sell the 2525 and then u can buy a seperate resonator.

U might be able to find the XL on ebay or Amazon idk

In my opinion watching videos on YouTube to compare doesn't really do it justice. Everyone has different quality cameras and places the camera in different spots to record, which makes a difference. My best advice is to get on your local thread and try and find ppl with different setups and meet up with them and go for a ride.

Have you changed your muffler bearings lately? Makes a huge difference.

I'm kidding, the muffler doesn't have bearings. I have a cherry bomb extreme and its aggressive but does not sound bad at all.

I like the Dyno Max Super Turbo myself. Decent sound without the annoyance inside the cab. Stay away from chrome fart tips on the end of the pipe.

I have got a few PM's so I figured I would clear this up...

ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAT THERE IS A LARGE METRIC PHILLIPS SIZE SCREW THAT SHOULD BE LOOSENED AND THEN CLEAN OUT WITH A PRESSURE SPRAYER, THEN RETIGHTEN TO 16 FPT. BE SURE TO USE METRIC PHILIPS OR YOU WILL STRIP. THE ONLY OTHER WAY IS A ECU REFLASH, AND GOOD LUCKY GETTING THE DEALER TO DO IT. I learned how to do this on Jesse James Monster Garage, the procedure is called iSOMETRIC dEBURRING iNSTANT oVERHAUL tACTIC.
