lol too loud for daily or camping... I must be your worst enemy doing both with a glass pack and rear axle dump down :rofl: Get the flowmaster, it makes the truck much more fun to drive, won't do much for hp or torque but I love my truck 10x more after doing my exhaust

Why are you thinking of replacing the muffler?

    Old one rusted out?

Want to *sound* like you have more power?

If you are hunting for an exhaust that adds power, you're going to need to look deeper than just a muffler and pipe. The exhaust of a Tacoma motor isn't really the limiting factor with these motors anyway. You're not going to "uncork it" lol.

@Das it mang @GQ7227: honestly don't bother with a video for the sound. They never translate to what you'll hear in real life. I've seen dozens of posts on this and other sites where people swear they did a ton of "research" watching videos and their new exhaust doesn't sound anything like what they expected.

Just go hang out at a muffler shop for a few hours, you're bound to have someone with a similar truck show up, or find a member nearby with one.

Why in the world do you want to paint your muffler? To match your rope hooks?

muffler is ok, its the exposed pipe in the rear to the tip
function is good, form needs modified a bit to my liking
i would prefer it to be a bit more 'discreet' and not stand out with the black
most colors work with black but this just seems off to me

my last truck was clamped all the way around (vs welded like my current) with a glass pack and it still sounded good, no leaks. Never cared about what it looked like underneath bc the only time I had to be down there was for shit i didnt want to be :notsure:
