As long as the doors work, the glass ain't broke, and it still runs, body damage doesn't bother me.

 

Also, where are all the people from the other three corners? I haven't seen anyone from Colorado, Arizona, or Utah

Honestly, all four corners are missing. There's only like 2 or 3 NM's so far, 1 AZ'n is a maybe, and everyone else is from TX. I sure would like to see more from our gang commit to the trip. I don't want a crazy number in attendance because of crowding and trail traffic jams but we could certainly handle several more attendees.

I posted in the AZ and CO bullshit threads and got kinda ho hum responses. I haven't hit up UT yet because they seem to be a small, quiet group.

In my first post I made an attempt to scare off the mall crawlers. I guess it worked.

 

Maybe you should have waited until they showed up? Then we could point and laugh.

 

No, while it would be fun to see them panic, listening to them crying about dirt on their rims would be a buzz kill to the overall vibe I hope to achieve on this trip.

Cool. Got you in post #1. Hopefully you do have your winch then. Graham (buddy of mine/guide) has one but another would gladly be welcomed.

 

well, my fiancee has been officially warned of my intentions for 7/10-xxx, and was pretty receptive... just got to secure the time off.

and of course, I in the 'mostly stock' group. We'll see how much I can accomplish/spare by july. then I could provide a useful update... got a baby on the way, so i cant be too selfish... Looks like I might have to get a "real" second job to augment, and maybe even replace the " seasonal fun" second jobs. I've gotten quite my share of rafting in in the last 10 years. we'll see....

Looking forward to the trip tho....

 

Reread the first post. Looks good man. I am going to try and have my Dakars, 886's, and tire/gas can mount by the time this stuff is going on. I really hope I can make it.

I have had a couple people talk about riding with me but so far no one is certain and I still have an extra seat open

 

For like the whole trip? or like me towing your rig out? and Robbie has shotgun first cause he said something first but he hasn't mentioned it in a bit. I'd be perfectly fine with that, just ask for a little gas money to support that 1-2 mpg drop with the extra 100+ lbs you would be adding

 

Sure man, totally dig it. Hopefully I can pull that 21 mpg i get every now and then lol. Just gotta wait on Robbie and even then you could ride with me because he was wanting to take the Creampuff so he would be driving once on the trails lol

 

I went out for 2 hours after work today. These pics are taken on random obstacles. There are thousands of these. These are not on any special trails.

 

Dude man, that just about sells me on the trip. Just need to make sure internship wise and money wise that I can do it and ill be set!

 

I'm dead serious. Those are just two random bullshit obstacles. If you come, you won't be disappointed.

 

Man that is badass. Screw it, I got money for it. As long as I can do it time wise I am in.

The big boy trails here can hand rock buggies their asses on a platter.

The drop I'm going down in the pic is probably class 3. The crack you can't see that I'm straddling and going up is probably 3+. There are designated trails here on public land rated at 5+.
