Hoping for some recommendations for a mild, multi-day, mostly off-road trip.
Getting married in July and we're taking the entire week off after the wedding. "Official" honeymoon isn't til November (Cabo! :bananadance:) so we're thinking to use the week off work after the wedding to go on a little trip.

I grew up in Central Oregon, we live over in Eugene now. I hit the logging roads in the coastal mountain range at least every other weekend, but I've never planned a multi day trip around driving off-road and seeing the sights.

Somewhere like MOAB or Death Valley would be cool, but at 14-17 hours away that may be a little farther than I really would like to go.
Something that took us over a mountain range would be cool! Summertime in the high cascades is a great place. Not looking for any "hardcore" off-roading, but I am plenty capable of handling some mild/moderate terrain.
Ideally I'd like to find something that was off-road/gravel for the majority of the trip.

If I can't make something like that happen, we may just hit Three Creeks Lake outside of Sisters for a couple nights, maybe drive down to the Steens.

    Thanks for any info!

How about WABDR? Section 3 will drop you off near Leavenworth where you can spend a few hours or the day checking out the town and grabbing some food and drinks before starting the next leg.

    Some stuff here and there....
Brown's camp has allot of room to roam. But @Bennett707 could probably offer some more advice since it's been years since I have wheeled anywhere in the pnw

If you are looking for sights, check out the Oregon Backcountry Discovery Route, ORBDR, or the WABDR.

If you hit the WABDR - you can hit funny rocks (or is it moon rocks?) up in Naches for the harder stuff. Same with Ellensburg area - it is a full trail system up there, i haven't played much but would be fun!

Browns has trails that vary from crawling with 44s and flipping your Chev Yota to just going over stumps and riding in ruts in your stock truck.

You guys are awesome! I had never heard of ORBDR, or WABDR.
I will be planning the trip around one or more of these routes.

Definitely take pics as I've never been fully on either and would love to check the full routes out. The Christmas Valley area in Oregon looks fun, have seen some sick motorcycle pics from SeeSee/Danner when they did a trip there.

Multi day trips in the PNW? Your biggest problem is going to be deciding which one, so many choices. Eastern Oregon would be cool. Some of the below routes are all gravel I believe and should be open to vehicles for the most part.
