I don't mean to be a dick but you have some extensive electrical modifications going on. I do not blame the dealer for not wanting to touch this.

Take everything off and paint over any tap spots in your wires with liquid electrical tape. Then confirm if you still have problems.

I think you are missing my intent a little when I say that I don’t have extensive electrical modifications. By that I am referring to actual modifications to the stock electrical system, or connections to it. I certainly have a healthy amount of electrical accessories, but run all of them through the switchpro or direct to battery, to avoid any interaction with the stock harness and system. I have already disconnected all of these items, to no effect.

Ultimately, I’m looking for a truck that works with these accessories, not just a W at the dealership, hence the mention of independent aftermarket focused shops. Taking it all off will help get my issues resolved, which could well be a faulty PCS sensor, but if the accessories are causing an issue, then I’m one to acknowledge I may have exceeded my ability and let a more well equipped pro take over.

really, get a copy of tech stream that's floating around tw, hook it up and see what the actual codes are. don't listen to the people who are bitching about your mods, they have no idea what they're talking about.

they and the dealership would like you to believe debugging is mystical voodoo guesswork, when it often involves very simple use of tools to tell you exactly what and where the issue is.

Having the same issues right now with mine. Took it in for the first 5k service on Friday...got in it Saturday and I had all these lights on. Airbag, Lane departure, Collision detect, Maintenance light, windows wont roll down, and climate control doesn't work. Only thing I have modded on it so far are puddle lights under the side mirrors which are plug and play and the raptor lights in the grill which are on an add a fuse. The last electrical mod I put it was the puddle lights and that was a month ago.

Ended up being a blown fuse under the dash. Crazy how 1 blown fuse sets off all those warning lights. The Toyota dealership wanted to take apart my entire dash board to find the problem. Thankfully I found that fuse. I would double check them.

E on the thermometer indicates canbus comm problems to me, along with all else going whacko.
What did that fuse control ? Canbus system ? Wonder if it blows again. I bet it might.

Someone on here had all kind of crazy crap going on because of after market LED lights. I think his truck refused to start.

My problems were definitely a combo of fuses and something else. I could find a bad fuse whenever the TSS sensor got wet, swap it, and restore about 50% of the other systems that went down, including the outside thermometer and climate control (but not the climate control panel...) but some warning lights and reduced functionality always remained until the recall was done. Super weird, given that all fuses would read good with a multimeter.

I finally got the dealership to do the recall, and the combo of a crappy little piece of adhesive neoprene and the software fix have held for about 2 months now. In my case it definitely traced back to the TSS sensor issue, and everything else was collateral damage from that. I am curious what was altered in the software fix they do, maybe someone has some insight into that.

Just had the same issue, had it at the dealer for 5 hours yesterday and they blamed my hid headlight and the anytimebackup and front camera I put in. So they couldn’t do anything for me till I removed them, so I had to pay for the diagnosis that told me nothing. So I removed the mods just to have all the errors still there.
So in 3 hours this morning I removed my simple little mods and found this thread and ended up checking my battery and fuses. It ended up being the ecu-ig no.2 fuse. Replaced it and everything is good. Guess I should have looked here first.
So I’m gonna leave the mods out for now and see if the fuse goes out again..

    @DLKtaco

Welcome to the forum from Eastern North Carolina. What you described is the reason that I have avoided making any changes to the OE wiring. Everything I've done can be disconnected in just a couple minutes simply by unplugging a few things, leaving the OE wiring in pristine condition.

This greatly simplifies any future troubleshooting.

    Be aware when you mod.

So many times it’s a simple blown fuse. A lot of people say they check all the fuses, but many will miss one that’s the issue.
