Just keep kicking, and watch out for people with the sniffles during this long winter. Chemotherapy is a double edged sword.

I did a rotation at MD Anderson Stem Cell transplant and it really is amazing for treating multiple myeloma. I’m glad to hear you’re doing well! Love the positivity!

Keep fighting, brother. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I take an oral form for a rare blood cancer and have been on it for 7 years now. It’ll wear you down every now and then but just keep on keeping on....peace and be well.

This August it will be a year since I had my Stem Cell transplant. Looking forward to that re-birthday. Just finished my second round of shots and now I can travel again.

I have to take mine every day. If I forget to eat enough and still take it I get deathly sick. Also, I had to switch brands recently. My oncologist told me not to believe all generics are the same because most manufacturers use different binding agents (and different quality ingredients) and it affects how the drugs work. I’ve noticed the side effects on my latest batch are not as bad but the 24/7 bone pain is by far the worst part. Nothing relieves it so I came off a bunch of my meds just to have a clearer head since nothing seemed to help, but I’m not so sure that was the smartest thing to do because there are times when I will go 5-6 days without sleeping as much as an hour because of the pain.

The same with me on the pain, I am trying real hard NOT to get addicted to pain killers and CBD oil only helps the pain enough to let me sleep about 6 hours each night. The CBD oil has helped me sleep if you get a chance try it. I have to take my chemo on an empty stomach.

My doctor recommended it but I can’t actually take it because of my job. Believe it or not CBD oil is still illegal from a federal law standpoint, even though some states have made it legal. It’s a bunch of crap because it should be legal (in my humble opinion). Does it help more than Fentanyl? If so, I’d almost try it anyway and take my chances. Eventually I have to sleep. I haven’t slept more than 2-3 hours in a night in 8 years. Also, what brand CBD do you take? Thanks...

6B68104D-8597-4AF7-80C6-4C1F38A67C8C.jpg @The Real Moondog I take both kinds with THC and without. They both work the same to me. 1/2 a dropper under my tongue at morning and at night. the one on the left has no THC the other two do. My Dr. say's about 80% of all his patients use some type of oil to help with pain. The one on the left will NOT trigger a drug screen test. I have been tested several times. My Nephew in Tenn owns a drug testing company and I have been his test rat for testing.

Thank you so much - I do appreciate it. How would you compare this to Fentanyl if you was ever on it? I’m literally out of options.

Never been on Fentanyl but I almost never got off Tramadol and I am still on oxycodone. The oil has helped me sleep and also get back to a more productive person during the day.
It has been rough but it is better than being dead. :fistbump:

I’m glad to hear you are still so upbeat and fighting this. You have also been very helpful to me and I appreciate it. I’ve kind of kept things bottled in and fought this silently and it’s been hard. I guess my stoic upbringing didn’t help much in that regard but there are days when I legitimately think I’ll just kill over from not sleeping. I also eat Oxy like candy and it does nothing. I had to increase the Fentanyl so much until I couldn’t stay alert and I have too busy of a job for that so I just quit taking it and that really put me on the doo doo list for my oncologist.

I try to be upbeat about this as much as I can my Wife sees it more when I have a bad day. I have a Brother in law that is alway's crying about back pain. I got tired of his noise and told him until he had what I have that he did not know shit about pain. and to shut up.

Anytime you need to talk or vent hit me up :fistbump:

She is on maintenance (rixtuxan) every 2 months. So far so good. But what she has is incurable.
    Keep hanging in there.

Mine is also incurable. Ninlaro 3 times a month keeps mine down until it decides to come back. then I will fight it again. Sometimes the side effects are rough.

Tell your Wife to fight it like the third Monkey on the ramp to Noah's Ark and it is starting to rain.

Well it's time for another update. I am still doing chemo 3 times a month. the side effects are all over the place, sometimes mild sometimes I am in the bed for 48 hours. Any way I am doing well enough now that I now go to Emory University every other month. :bananadance:
That really helps with the Dr. bills :spending:
I tried the CDB oil for 3 months with the THC for pain and really did not notice any relief

I will finish all of my vaccinations this August.. I tell everyone if they think they have something stay the hell away from me until August :quickdraw:
Hope everyone is doing well..
