Well I had another Zometa (Bone Hardener) infusion last Friday morning. Woke up Saturday morning and felt the aches and pains from it. Same time I started having to urinate more than usual that continued on through Sunday and started having back pain. Went to the Dr. today and had a Ultrasound performed Dr. thinks I might have kidney stones.

August 21st 2019 was the second anniversary of my(SCT) stem cell transplant. I go back to Emory University in the morning for a series of tests to verify if the cancer is still at zero. So far my monthly blood tests have been negative. Tomorrows Bone and Bone marrow biopsy and a full body CT scan will let me know for sure.
Fingers crossed. Be Safe TW Family. Bill.

So I completed my two years post transplant in August 2019, I am now all caught up on my Vaccinations. Still taking chemo (NINLARO) three times a month and dealing with a wide verity of side effects but it is better than the alternative.
Dr. told me that I may get another transplant (T cell) two years from now.
Hope everyone who reads this is doing well. Be Safe everyone.

My late mom had MM. She died October 11 but the autopsy isn’t complete yet so I don’t know if it was MM or something else. She was 82. I miss her a lot.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I stay at a 6 or 7 most of the time. Working with my Dr. now to come up with a substitution to get me off the oxycodone. I am trying real hard not to get hooked on anything.
As long as I can catch some sleep at night I can deal with the pain during the day. Just hard to go to sleep most of the time.

So sorry to hear this. The majority of people with MM die from pneumonia.

This is exactly my issue - night time. My pain is always around a 7 but at night I’m miserable. I often go 5-6 days with no sleep. I took myself off the Fentanyl and am doing the same for the Oxy. I’m down to a half pill a day (from 6-8) and plan to be completely off within a week or two. I have plans to do pain psychotherapy to see if that’ll help.

She had a few different health issues going on and it was challenging to figure it all out. She was getting chemo and was supposed to be on oxygen 24/7 but I’m not sure she was following that all the time. Her hemoglobin levels were usually about 9-10 or so. Just couldn’t catch her breath at times.
