Sweet build Munkel. What leafs do you recommend for hauling a bike like that? I have a tonneau and want to haul a drz400 with a carrier like that. I noticed you swapped out the all pro 3" and went with dakar. any thoughts on all pro expedition?

I don't have any experience with the expos, I definitely wouldn't go with standards, either expos or dakars with a AAL. Keep in mind a DRZ will likely be a bit heavier than a CRF too. A good set of bumps will help too.

the expos say they are 4" unloaded, and stay at 3" with 4-500lbs of gear, so you probably wouldnt need an AAL?

Correct, only need an AAL if you went Dakars. Then if you ever had any issues with height you could throw on a longer shackle with either set.

and i'd need to extend the brake line as well as get a rear brake proportioning valve relocating bracket?
I wouldn't be hauling my bike that much but when i would be hauling it it would be for like a 13 hour road trip. how stiff is your ride unloaded?

Yes, it would be a good idea to extend the brake line and get a new BPV bracket, my truck doesn't ride very harsh but I have tools and recovery gear back there 24/7.

Damn fine Tacoma you've got there. Tasteful mods and accessories... got to love it!

I'm in the PDX area and am for certain I have seen your ride on the HWY in the last month or so. Anywho, keep up the great work!

Guess I never updated this thread.... Truck sold last year, now I have a 4runner, still lurking here though.
