That's why I went to an aftermarket bumper. When I back into someone, I want that shit wrecked.

    Go to page 681 , re-open a 2006 thread , say " I disagree" or something, watch thread revitalize.

I can park six cars in my driveway three side by side and my wife still managed to back into a car I had. I had to lay out $1800 rather than file a claim with $1000 deductible.

I don't think it's age because she is a lot younger than I. I think people's minds just slip into fast forward and they forget what they just saw. It really sucks when BOTH vehicles are in the same family.

Riding a motorcycle I am acutley aware of this phenomenon

High deductibles save a lot in premiums over the long haul when added up on all polices....The difference between $250 and $1000 is a pretty good amount of savings. Then you avoid filing claims and getting rate hikes as well.

You save the most over the long run insuring against catastrophe not inconvenience.

Medical is even worse when it comes to low deductibles and saving money with higher ones.
My wifes policy has a $5000 deductible. So I can pay $270 a month and not worry about sniffles. Or I can pay $600 a month and pay the $5000 a year whether or not we use it. I chose the former and we pay for the sniffles and small stuff out of pocket and it actually is billed at 1/2 the rate of a non insured situation.

How someone bumps a 3 year old thread with a reply like that is beyond me.
