One thing quite a few of you dont mention is a first aid kit. Do people really not carry basic first aid supplies? Not talking about anything fancy, but just a nice assortment of bandaids, bandages and some tape will take care of most.

As far as my stuff I carry... Well, since I really dont drive much, I keep most of my offroad stuff in the truck all the time. I'm not sure the forum could handle my list. ;) (Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it...)

But for reals this time. For me its a first aid kit. License and registration and insurance. I also keep some thick tie down straps and a nice big tarp. A socketing and adjustable wrench and a flash light and a couple bottles of water under the seat.

What you should have is one of those useless High Visibility Vests. Why ? Cause you might end up helping at a accident scene in the pitch black like I did like two weeks ago. I was wearing black head to toe and not the best. Didn't get run over but I sure could have. Got one in my truck now. This was all before the police and ambulances arrived. Not me, somebody else but I assisted cause it was a real mess.

Wow... I'm glad to know I'm not the only person to use the underseat storage as an armory. Although I also keep the other necessities, such as zip ties, spare ammo and mags, bungee cords, duct tape, a handful of clean shop rags, standard tool set, and some more spare ammo. You can never have to much ammo.

I keep a pair of leather work gloves, jumper cables, flashlight and a small tool kit under the back seat. I also have a spare ball cap and a hoodie back there in case I have to walk in the rain.

None yet, need to finish the HEEP first
What I carry changes with being in town and out of town/offroading.

    Always carried:
Jumper Cables, tow straps (2), Fire extenguisher, Water, box of Cliff Bars, Tool box with everything needed to tear down a vehical, tire patch kit, cold weather bag (even in the summer), my EMS jump kit, bungies, pull straps and ratchet straps, flashlights, sharp knife, duct tape is a must. I need to pick up a couple things you all suggested ie. high visability vest and a couple other things.

Off road will include the stand items listed above plus spare parts, high lift jack, 2 come-alongs, tent, -20degree sleeping bag, 8'x6' tarp, 3 quarts extra of each fluid (oil, tranny, etc.), 6 gallons of gas, axe, water filter pump, whisper lite stove and a ton of other crap depending on where I a wheeling and if it is with my Tacoma or Jeep.

I wish I could have some things like extra food and duct tape and such, but AZ destroys them by heat lol.
