I believe they’re considered “low profile mini fuses”

In our newer trucks it’s rare you’ll need one, but incredibly important to have when you do. I bought a kit at Harbor Freight and bring 2 of each amperage along with the fuse-puller tool.

A quick google search for “fuse size TacomaWorld” will populate some links for fuse kits like mine for around $6

If you could attend a session prior to yours and get a ride along with someone else it would give an idea of what to expect.

Based on your comments from the organization, for this particular event, I'd say nothing needs to be bought.

Other than learning how to use the various features of your electronics in combination, so if you do get into a more challenging situation you now how to properly engage things.

Before you go out in the wild on your own? That's another story. But even the 'right' answers there are based on the terrain you are traveling and your driving skill.

You are making a good move taking a class though. It's always a good plan to first tighten up on the nut behind the wheel. In any motorsport.

I’d remove or cut 4-6 inches off the stock mud flaps. They will drag in sand and catch on stumps, rocks, etc.

Edited original post. When you go over a stump, rock your wheel comes down, then the mud flap gets hung up (or torn off) on the stump or rock.

Picture below. I have my mud flaps cut to about mid wheel; just about exhaust tip height. Yes some people trim their tail pipes.

You docked your plastic mud flaps? Thats original. Im listing mine for beer on the marketplace. No takers yet, I guess I’m asking for too good of a type of beer.

Another option is to replace with a floppy mudflap. I put on plasicolor mudflaps. They can bend up higher than the tailpipe, cost about $48 for a set of 4:

'cause they're stiff plastic, so they don't flex when they drag over rocks, etc.
