oh yea for sure, shits not cheap! The last few years I've transitioned more to backcountry rather than park/jumping off cliffs in the resort. Trying to switch my mentality about taking better care of my decks, especially since splits are even more $$

Exactly. park is not easy on gear. My buddy is a groomer at our local resort and skis park every. He goes through skis quite fast. I'm trying to get into backcountry, but I want to get with some buddies that are experienced before I do it. I can't believe how much it costs to repair things nowadays. Most of my quiver i'll do my own work on, but 1 pair I only take in

What state are you in? My friend and I are planning on taking our Avalanche 1 course around January to start getting into backcountry here in Colorado.

I'm in Nevada. Live about 10 minutes from the Rose lodge, assuming slow drivers get of my way

I hated my K02's in the snow FYI. Always felt anything slippery or wet they slide around too much.

Yeah, they are not the best in the snow but i honestly had no issues so far. But nothing beats a dedicated snow tire of course.

I need to take more trips to Colorado. The snow there is usually way better than what we get here.
Only tires I use in the snow are Blizzaks. They're great

yah for sure. It was not horrible but I would be worried in those WTF moments. Def slid past a few things when I did not want to but could have also been more ABS. Corners I would slide out a bit too. Now I am on KM3 so its prob even worse. haha.

I found my duratracs to be the best in the snow out of the 3 AT tires that i had. You could go in 2wd in thick snow no problems, i was amazed.

As a coach, I usually have four+ pairs of skis in the back and just use a Tonneau cover... Now my race boards get taking out daily dried and tuned often. This year will be different as our cars will be the locker room. Gotta keep the race boots warm so I can get the darn things on and off. The tonnaeu keeps them protected from road grime and salt here in NH. Anyhow, never had a issue and coming up to the 5th winter.

I have the OEM all weather rubber mats, and they seem to be really similar to the Husky ones

I think weathertech makes the OEM ones so that would make sense. Husky and Weathertech are similar.
