Mustang, hands down. I hate everything about the new Camaro. Looks are subjective, but I really don't like the styling at all, they're rather large for a coupe, and the interior is horrendous IMO. I do love the Challengers exterior styling, however again not a fan of the crap Charger carry over interior. While I do love the GT500 I think a GT would be a better value since the straight line performance isn't that far behind and it's considerably lighter and makes the most of the fact it only has 315hp.

That being said, if it were me, I'd wait til the 2011 models come out. GT will be getting the 5.0L 400+ hp motor so you won't need a GT500 to compete with the Camaro. And if you still like the GT500 that will also be getting a new powerplant too. Still going to be a supercharged 5.4L with around the same hp but I believe they are using a different block and it's going to be a much lighter engine so it should be quicker. Can't really beat the best bang for the buck of the Mustang I think it's overall the better vehicle when all things are considered.

If your not planning on taking your car to the track then i would consider something different. For the same price as the mustang you could get a new audi s4 which isn't as fast, but if your not taking it to the track it would be a hell of alot more fun daily driving..ie going around turns. Or for aittle less you could get a new Subaru wrx sti, which to would be fun as hell around the turns.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I haven't driven either one, I'm just going off of specs right now. Most of the reviews put the Camaro ahead of both the Mustang and Challenger. Main complaint with the Mustang is the live rear axle. I actually like the look of the new Camaro...I don't really care for the retro look personally and it seems to be the least expensive.

Ford CAN NOT make something by themselves, so they NEED the name SHELBY to hype up the mustang, I have to go with the Camaro, but that Challenger 6.1L hemi is a close second and those two are straight GM OR Mopar not a colaberation

My summer car is a G8 GXP, and i love it I would go with the Camaro, but i would wait one year until all th bugs are ironed out. If you go the Camaro Forums you can read that the fit and finish on the interior is poor. But what sells that car is the LS2!!!

i voted camaro.just from exsperiance working on fords gm is much more reliable.not to take anything away from the stang they do have the best sounding v8 out there.it's just known that the gm pushrod v8's are super reliable and so are there manual trans.as for the m3 s4 and the lexus if you got the money for the outrageous prices on parts go for it.$150.00 to $250.00 for rotors is just stupid.and as some said a low milage vete would be my pick you can't beat it.

No Challenger... Mostly because it's ONLY automatic... I would go with the Camaro SS. It has the same engine as the new Corvette

I would go with the Camaro no doubt. Those things are straight up sex. I love the new look. Don't think it looks too modern at all. JMO. But you know what they say, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one and they all stink. Plus, you could take the extra 15K or whatever is left over from not buyin the GT500 and beef up the motor on the Camaro and have over 500 HP easy, with 10K to spare.

Side Note: I talked to the local Chevy dealer here and he said they are looking to make a Z28 Camaro with over 500 hp in the next couple of years. I don't know if that's true or if he was blowin smoke up my ass, but that would be incredible.

I've heard rumors of a new Z28 Camaro also. That might actually be worth waiting for. I know a lot of guys are saying go with Lexus, BMW or Nissan but I'm pretty set on the muscle look and raw horsepower. As long I get a reliable powertrain I'm good, and the Taco is going to be the daily driver anyways so not a whole ton of miles are gonna go on it.
