    I'm looking at leaving Easley around 1pm.
    The weather looks fantastic which means probably lots of people scouting for bear season.

    Which is what I should be doing but I'll wait a couple more weeks.

    I went the day it opened a couple weeks ago. It's all groomed very well, just could be muddy in spots.

    You talking about the trail those guys in that overland video walked down to the lake? I wonder if it's whats on my map below even though it shows it ending early.

    Not sure if it's the one on the map, but I would guess the trail closest to the lake.
    Red gated, I'm guessing.

    We got a few miles in and I had issues getting up a heavily graveled hill, finally made it up after about 4 try's. Then about 4 miles in we found a spur to the right. Decided to try it, found an open red gate.

    Went down a bit and got in a tight, slick spot that I had issues with. Skinny pedaled my way thru it and we headed back out.

    We could have went further down except Caleb probably would have had clearance issues and with it wet I would have had traction issues. Definitely want to explore that spur more.

    Question about red gates.

    Aren't all red gates supposed to be closed/locked year around and only accessible by DNR/fish/wildlife?

    I think some of them may be open for hunting access right now. At least they are in the Francis Marion/Sumter NF near me.

    I thought I was running late getting there at near 2:30. Thought you guys might have already gotten in there, then somehow I found a spot with cell service and got Jay's text that you had posted about running late, so all good.
