I haven’t been so I’ll definitely be making a trip in the next month or so. Wish it wasn’t 1.5 hours away but oh well!

There was a small jeep gathering there today.
Buddy from work invited me to hunt bear in his party this year so I'll be in and out quite a bit thru the next couple months.

Pretty good! The road was noticeably smoother than the last time I went. I drove down every road I could and logged it. I was surprised when I started down Auger Hole to find the border gate open (it's actually broken which I didn't notice on the way in.) I drove a couple miles until I got to a spot where it looked like they were still doing work so I turned around assuming the gate up by Horsepasture river would be closed.

Meh, in the middle of some studio work.
I meant if I was going alone, I'd take the heep.
If anyone else wanted to go, I'd take the Tacoma. 2wd problems. Lol.

I'm working 12's all week so I'm not sure what time I will get out that way on sat.

There is a small chance of some paint pinstripes on the trail. Nothing that can't be waxed out.

Nothing difficult about the trail itself as far as I've gone back. I want to try and find the lake access trail somewhere around bear camp 6.

I might end up taking the Jeep if I think it will get to difficult.

How far are you from easley?

I'm about an hour from Easley, in Inman. but i work 15 min from Easley and my brother lives within the Easley city limits, so that drive is nothing to me

My truck is stock af, gonna be doing some suspension/tire upgrades before too long. I might be aiiight with a stock setup.. maybe?

    Meh. I think so.
@EricL didn't we see a Volkswagen up the hill where the hard switchback right is? Up the hill from the pipes or was that somewhere else?

Edit: I think that was further up.
I don't remember anywhere where a stock Tacoma would have a problem.

A long bed might have to make a 5 pt turn at the switchback. Not a big deal.

Worst case, we just make a video roasting the crawl control, post it to the tube, and watch people tell me everything I did wrong.

I think it was a Volvo. Same difference. Started with a V. :anonymous:

Stock should be fine. Pretty sure crawl control will walk right up that one steep hill. Not sure how it will do in slippery/muddy spots, if there are any, but we have straps, etc.
