MW3 and BF3

First off, I really am not trying to have this be a which one is better than the other because we all have our opinions just like we all have assholes and we know how the rest of that goes...


Now, I got MW3 the day it came out, and I have gotten all the other COD games pretty much the day they were released. They are all basically similar as they are all COD. Now I know that BF3 is a different game made by different people blah blah blah... but. I remember playing BF2 (which was awesome IMO) and I do not remember the shooting and game flow being like this. I know you can blow shit up now, but it just seems like compared to the Call of Duty games shooting the guns in BF3 is like trying to open a jar with no hands.

So what the deal.. why does the gameplay and shooting in BF3 feel so different than COD.

I think the story line for BF3 is more "realistic" so to speak, whereas MW3 is continuing a story from the prior games.

One feels more real, one feels more "transformers.. ish"

Dont get me wrong, MW3 is great, but its more or less like a tom clancy game. Very visceral, but leaves you feeling like you already know the outcome.

 

You answered your own question. Different games from different companies. I've never really played 2 different FPS games that felt the same. Its what I like more about BF it's more challenging. I know people that are terrible at these types of games then play COD games and they suddenly look good because the game play comes off as simple to kill people. BF feels more realistic and less arcade like.

 

In my opinion I get bored of mw3 fast, I like battlefield because the maps are big and there's so much more to do than mw3, there's something for everybody on there

 

i feel like bf3 is a better game in general. i use to love cod but after mw2 it seems like every game is the same and they just throw a new thing here and there and thats it. i mean seriously a new game EVERY YEAR!

i mean it depends on your style tho, do you like arcade type shooting like cod? or bf3 that has bigger maps and you can do alot more on the map, such as blowing up buildings, tanks, jets, helicopters, or even skidsteers. Also its nice because bf3 has a ridiculous amount of guns and different equipment to use.

Idk I think the sniping is cooler in some ways on bf3 cause you have to actually arc it for long distance but the gameplay is to slow for me it's more of a sit and shoot and you run out of bullets to fast like it's impossible to get a triple kill w one magazine

 

ive played cod im pretty dam good at it too. 1st page GB search and D, but God dam battlef3 is so fun the games toatly diff game play and game types lol bottom line thier diff games lol battlef being the better game lol worth the money its just balanced perfectly cod is anymore too many nubs

 

MW3 is a fun game if you like to run and gun and drop shot everyone that comes around a corner. I got really bored of it really fast, because I felt like I was playing black ops again. I went back to battlefield. There are so many more things that you can do on that game its ridiculous. Some people complain about the pace, but its because they're not playing the right class on the right map. Run out of ammo? Get your teammate to give you some more. Die? Get someone with defibrillators to revive you. It goes on forever. In MW3, you call in an airstrike. In BF3, you ARE the airstrike.

 

BF3 is so much more fun in the long run.. I'm so sick and tired of MW.. Nothing has changed with them in the last 3 or 4 releases they've done. The story mode is always lame and pointless for both if you ask me.

 

How do you get to use the tanks and what not on bf3 are they not in team deathmatch?

 

BF3 Factors in bullet drop, fire select, destructible environments, vehicles! and many more... I gave up on the COD series after MW2, Black Ops sucked and MW3 is just a MW2 map pack... Every gun sounds the same with a silencer in COD..... Gotta love those hacked lobbies too..

 

Lol people always yell at me when I tell them MW3 is just a map pack for MW2. They say how many things are different than can't name one. I get annoyed of all the little kids bickering and call each other gay everytime they get killed. Im going to trade or sell my MW3. I havent touched it since the week it came out. What little time I spend in games has been devoted to BF.

There are no tanks (and to take it further, I don't believe any vehicles) on Team deathmatch maps in BF3. The maps are small versions of the conquest maps and are infantry based. To use vehicles play Conquest or Rush.

I think alot of BF3 players at one time or another played Call of Duty. I've played Call of Duty games since the original one came out for PC however many years ago, and more recently played Call of Duty 4 like crazy, and to some extent played Modern Warfare. the last CoD game I bought was World at War--I played it for about a week and never played again ('cept fo' Zombies). It really is just the same shit over and over again!

BF3 is just so much better with it's sprawling scale, huge variety of gameplay, and it is as realistic as a game can be while still being fun to play. I love it.

 

Some maps have tanks on either team death match or squad death match. Can't recall which. But ya full arsenal of vehicles in all maps ob those other modes.

 

Squad Deathmatch has one IFV per map.

 

I never noticed it till you said it but your right, all silenced guns sound almost the same.

COD just seems to be using its name to make sales. I mean, what major changes have been made to the game since MW2 came out? Nothing...

 

It's exactly what they do. Which is why it's ridiculous you have to pay 60 dollars for essentially a map pack and a couple kill streak tweaks. I look at Battlefield Bad Company 2. I loved that game, still play it once in awhile. Then they had the Vietnam expansion pack you could just download for cheap. If that was COD that would have sold that as a brand new game in the franchise for 60 bucks lol.
