Carpet is easy to get out . The Headliner is tricky and you have to be careful if you not taking out the rear window or windshield .

Awesome question, I am wondering the samething, but I don't want to take the plastic off the back of my seats since I do put things on it in the summer, weather its my dog, or tools for work, or whatever I still need the plastic.. Did you buy the box or build it?

Great job, How much time did it take you to complete? I am intertested in the guage pod and guages. Where did you get them and how well does the guage pod match the pillar.

I did get my box off of ebay. I paid $89 for it shipped . Was not worth the time or money to build it .

Yes i did . If you looked in the pics of the install i had to cut some of the metal to get them to fit and also i took the the plastic off the storage bins. Pretty much its just the doors and the little plastic ring that the door hinges are on . I cut the rest of the plastic away.

Took me about 2 weeks with working on it a few hours after work each night and then 3 days straight. The gauge pod is a lotek gauge pod . I got it from Gaugepods.com. The color is a nice match . The fit is ok . Had to do some trimming on the handle and the handle opening to get it to fit right . Also had to put a few washers behind the handle to space it out . The gauges are glowshift gauges . Many people say they are junk . But so far the do the job for the price.

Like i said i bought the box on ebay . I had to take the plastic off the seats cause it hit the subs. But this probably happened from soundproofing it and it pushed the box out a little . I have my seat overs on now so you dont see it .

personally the voltage gauge is pretty useless information, i would have installed a wideband o2 gauge. i went to the website and the gauges dont look that bad, i especially like the analog wideband gauge.
i would not have bought these gauges for the simple fact they dont make a vac/boost gauge with a max boost of 15 psi or less. for the fact the TRD SC only puts out about 5-7 psi it seems worthless to use only a small fraction of the gauge and the fact the numbers are a lot closer together the ability to read the accuracy is a lot less. i think i am going with the stock TRD gauge in my truck. it seems well suited for the application and its made by auto meter.

First off, awesome write up. You have a beautiful truck.

About how much deadener did you use for the install?
I am looking to do the same to my truck.

Do you have any tips or rather any snags you ran into
    while working on this?

    Thanks and rep sent. :)

I know this is an old thread, but this is one of the most impressive installs I've seen online. I'm angry, because this makes me feel like an asshole, since I was pretty proud of my own work yet I got SMOKED.. I think it's good to be humbled every once in a while to remind all of us that: Somewhere, someone out there is doing things better than you..

With all this said, i still like my install a lot too :)
    Good job, holy crap man..
