I did install not one but three 12v, two in the bed and one under the hood, you never know where you will need it.

    One side:

And under the hood: (it was not there at that time but is now below the red cable on the left)

^ what kind of stuff do you run off those?

I've never been under the hood and felt the need to charge my cell phone. That is the only thing I would use those for!

Nice work too...your install is very clean looking!

Anything that has a 12v input, for me: a Fan (mosquitos away and cool breeze), air compressor (big enough) to inflate sport balls, my truck tires or even someone else tires, run/charge my laptop, charge my phone, extra needed lights at front or back, my 2,000,000 candle spotlight for wild boar hunting.... and probably a lot of more uses in the future.

Looks sweet. You can never have too many power outlets, lights, and switches to control them. My next thing is to put another DC to AC inv 1000 Watt plus for the rear outlet and use the stock 400 Watt for the cab outlets ill install.

i ran 8 ga wire with a 80 amp fuse from the battery back to the left rear tail light. this will supply power for this mod and future ones.

ok that is cool but y not run a sepret fuse block under the hood so u can only have to run the one wier from the bat and then u can have a block up fron in sted of the back that will be easyer to get to if u need to in the futcher

I'm running one under the hood as well for my trouble light, small air compressor, etc might as well run one in the bed. Lots of stuff you can use them for and only having the 1 in cab, sometimes the cords aren't long enough to reach where you need to go. My in cab one I plug my CB into when on long trips, or plug a 110V AC Inverter in to charge my AA rechargeable batteries for my digital camera, or my camcorder.
