18k on my 2014. My Silvy had almost 90k when I traded it in. The taco is more soild, easier to park, and gets better mileage. I feel I definatly made a good choice. Seeing all the posts in this thread about people doing some decent mileage on their tacos and still being happy makes me happy. I need this truck to go 200k+ in the next years.

There's 400k+ guys on here. 200k is too easy, as long as you take care of it.

bought my 2015 Taco in Aug, just turned bit over 900 miles today.

My 2014 FJC has 950 miles on it after 16 months.

I'll run my 1998 Sonoma into the ground before I start daily driving the Yotas to work and in winter weather.

Purchased my 15 in July. Just rolled past 1800 miles. We might be in the running for lowest average miles.

In all fairness, I work out of town 6 months out of the year. So the truck sits in the driveway unused 3 weeks at a time.

My goodness! Then I have to ask... why do you own the FJC and Taco if you don't drive them?

They will be the last vehicles I own before I retire.

In the next 5-10 years you are going to see some extreme changes in the SUV and truck world due to EPA/emission changes, while complicated now, it's going to get much worse or you'll see manufacturers radically change the vehicles.

The future mileage requirements are pretty much unobtainable for passenger cars, much less SUV's and trucks. If some of them aren't cut to reasonable standards, don't expect the selection of vehicle classes you see now.

I do a LOT of driving at work on someone else dime.............

Since the Sonoma isn't worth much, I may as well drive it into the ground. Plus, the frame is still solid.;) I'd like to get to 20 years on it and let the salt eat that up instead of the new rides.

Besides, it's not like I've actually lost money on either, the 2016 Tacos went up in price, I don't like the engine it has either.

I could sell the FJC for thousands more then I paid for it, not too bad for a newer ride. Last auction I tracked, $45 K was the sell point for one with 143 miles.

I disagree. The small to medium truck and SUV market is booming. Jeep and other manufacturers are planning new 3rd row large SUVs and trucks for 2018. The government continually sets goals and then just sells 'credits' for manufacturers to not really HAVE to meet those goals, but pay excess taxes so that they don't have to.

The CAFE system is a ruse. Trucks will be around for decades to come.

I tried to keep the miles low on my 2002 tundra but was all in vane in the end. I traded it in on a 2015 Tacoma after owning it since new. It had 106,000 miles on it when I got rid of it. I could not wait to dump it. It was a money pit and was literally disintegrating from rust. I think the lack of use actually led to its demise and horrible rusting. Here is a picture of it the day I got rid of it and what I replaced it with. I try now more than ever to not let any one of my vehicles sit too long.
