Hello all my 2014 Tacoma entune system shows no software updates on the Toyota website. My weather app is stuck on my hometown and won’t follow me as I travel. I’m wondering if there is a way to reboot or rest the system. Any wisdom out there on this type of issue.

I'm not positive on this, but do you have your phone paired with the radio?

Non-Nav Entune have to be taken to the dealer for software updates. Someone on TW had the latest update file but I forget who it was. Might try searching for one of the threads about it. I think it was a year or two ago.

Yes my phone is paired with the entune system. As a 65 year old musician my Apple Music goes from the 1960’s to now, and I’m picky as to what I listen to.
And thank you for the tip on the thread, I’ll look into it. I’d like to have a navigation option on my entune screen but am not willing to pay the dealership. :)

With the truck running (or the key in the ON position), hold the radio power button in for 10 seconds.

So if I may ask, what will I get when I do that. The reason I ask this is because I do have the weather app. freezing on me as well. Is this a reboot, or a way to update. :)

    Havoc’s suggestion reboots the radio.

Great! That’s primarily what I’m looking for in this thread. The update possibility is secondary. I’m happy with what I have and would love to improve it but again, back to basics is ok with me. Thanks for y’all’s time and info. :)

If anyone out there knows more about the link to update my 2014 entune system, without going to the dealership, I would be much obliged. :)

Just wanted to say thank you to all who responded to this thread with your advice. Did the reboot and it worked like a charm. :)
