Hey guys I just became a member yesterday and figured I post my Tacoma and the mods I have done. A few years ago I traded my 86 Toyota and $1500 for this 98 V6 extra cab 4x4 5 speed truck. This is what she looked like when I got her. It had a spacer lift and 265's, stock other than that. 20140117_135645.jpg

The first thing in order was a winch bumper. My buddy and I ordered 2 different kit bumpers from NWTI and went to work on our trucks.20140124_154327_LI.jpg

Up next I was on craigslist everyday looking for a TRD rear end so I didn't have to fork out the cash on a ARB. I was happy when I came across this wrecked 4runner limited for $1500 with no motor. It had the factory locker, 4.30 gears, King coil overs and Total Chaos upper control arms. The transformation began and the best part is I probably got $500 or $600 selling the rest of the 4runner parts!20140211_110853.jpg 20140418_191115_LI.jpg

I had a huge debate over 255's vs 285's. My favorite wheeling is snow wheeling and so I figured wider is better and came home with 285's and cranked the coils down. I kind of wish I kept it lower and went with skinny tires20150624_141337.jpg 20180128_142206_LI.jpg just cause of the ride. It doesn't ride bad but when I first put the kings on set for the 265's I felt it rode like a trophy truck in the front!

The 4.30s and 285's with the 3.4 and 5 speed are perfect. My speedometer is right on! Sometimes I think about tubbing the front end for 35's just for snow wheeling. snow.jpg
