Hey guys. I have been studying and lurking for some time now on this board and caraudioforum.com. I have decided on the following equipmentin my truck:

    Kenwood KDC-X993 headunit
    Cadence FXA-4060 amp
Image Dynamics CTX65CS components (baffles by Marv)
    Raamat BTX/ensolite

So far, all I have installed is the KDC-X993 and it alone made a big difference in the sound. I am still waiting to receive the other equipment. It is also amazing how much music you can put on a jump drive. I feel like I can almost have my whole CD collection in my truck. The Kenwood makes it pretty easy to retrieve the songs.

Congrats. The Kenwood 993 is a decent deck. Wait until you hear those CTX's though....for the money, there is NOTHING out there that competes. I was at Image Dynamics on Friday (getting my car tuned for regionals) and they had a Smart car there running nothing but CTX gear. i was litterally blown away on how good it sounded. I mean I jammed on this thing for like 30 minutes, I couldnt get enough of it. And to think this is the cheapest stuff they make makes my mind spin.

I just love the simple and cheap systems. Of course I run the XS gear as in EXCESS :p but the CTX is no joke.

Glad to hear that. I haven't heard any of these speakers. I only know what people have said about them and many others(Pioneer Premium, Polk Momo, CDT). I went with the ones that people raved about AND had the best efficiency. I want to keep the system simple and affordable.
