They put it on a dyno? Both times I've had mine smogged in LA these last 4 years they never put it on a dyno. Maybe I should keep going there lol

What year is your Tacoma? Mine is a '96.
Depends on the year of your truck, I think 2001 and newer they plug in to the OBDII port and not use the dyno.

Only in Kommiefornia do you have to put up with such stupid bullshit. I can't believe that not having a specific "sticker" would fail an emissions test. Here in NC, they don't even pull the truck into the garage. There is a wireless system they use, and presto, my truck is done, and I'm on my way, after my $30.00 payment. They send the test results directly to the DMV, so that I can get my tag at a later date. This year, I'm going to watch how they do it. Last year I was just sitting in the waiting room waiting for them to pull my truck inside, when the came in a said, All Done.

My last ComiFornia smog was just a plug in, no sniffer. But I'm sure I would pass a sniffer, at 260,000 miles, original exhaust, S/C, larger injectors. If I twin charge thats going to be the big accomplishment.

I go to a place up here in the High Desert called Mom's Smog . They specialize in vehicles with Superchargers or other power adder or aftermarket parts . I was referred to this place from a neighbor who has a Ford Lightning

It took the smog tech less than 10 minutes to smog test my truck

Nope. Mines a 96 and it just got plugged into OBDII. Same with my 97 4Runner. My smog guy doesn't even have a dyno. For the record the Taco passed with the original cats and 336,000 miles. lol
