My 2000 V6 is my first and only car. I discovered today the frame is rotting out, is this safe?

    Frame rust and rot can be repaired to a certain extent, but yours is definitely beyond repair
    This is only what can you can see, but what you don't see is definitely worse. The whole frame is probably as rusted out and rotten as these parts where there's missing chunks of frame

    You can still attempt a desperate last resort repair, like this guy did :p

    nah, seriously, your frame is toast.
    Your father must be hating you for telling you this is safe. Sorry :/

    onakat, that's pretty desperate. I guess there does come a tine when we have to let go. I've never been good at that, so I can see why one would take such an extreme effort to save a truck.

    By the way, that's not my truck on these pics but yeah, when there is too much work to do, it's not worth it. Though some might say that anything can be done with time and patience (and money, haha)
