That's a great price. I paid more for mine and they weren't shipped.

That's exactly the lines I had made. Here's a repeat pic to show them on a Tacoma.

Without having to read over the entire thread, do these fit all 2nd gens?

    What hasn't been modified?
Larger calipers fit 2 and 3 gens.
Master is for older 2gen with vacuumed booster.

If your Tacoma has 2 brake lines coming out of the master cylinder it'll fit. It'll fit your SR5. Models with 4 lines/traction control it will not fit.

if you are referring specifically to the m10 to m12 lines he is having made for the booster swap, I highly recommend double checking the size of the existing lines coming off your tacoma master before committing.

i cant remember if it was here or another thread, but I think we concluded that not all 2nd gen tacomas have m10 lines coming off the master. Mine had m12 lines.

I followed another members approach and made my own lines. Parts ordered on fedhillusa.com. Flare tool was a loaner from advance auto.

Parts list from my build thread:

I'm in for this. I had originally planned to buy that kit from that company (can't recall the name) that offers the master cylinder as well and I'd just source the booster, but this makes it easier since I can probably find a good deal on a master/booster combo.

I think you're referring to SOS Perrormance.

I have their kit that came with the master cyl, an adapter hub, and DIY bendable hardlines. I sourced my booster on ebay, bought a new booster air nozzle and was ready to commit a weekend for the project before reading about the potential GB.

Stalled my project.....but in a good way.

@YamaDirtrider I'm still interested. I have a feeling it will be more than 1" of flexible s/s hose per line. SOS provides an outline of the curve for hardlines and its close to 5". Not that it matters, because at $80/shipped, I'm pretty much in like flynn.

I was requested $ and paid for a pair of the lines. He was suppose to ship out at the end of this week. Holding pattern for me right now.

So after quickly browsing over all this info, could I just run the larger rotors from the 4-runner with those pads if I was just after a little extra braking surface? Would it even really be noticable over stock? I come from the VW/Audi crowd where we can swap brakes from other models as a cheap brake "upgrade". Usually, this is just going from a smaller rotor to a slightly larger one, like in this case. I did this on my MK5 Rabbit by using GTI rotors and pads and it was definitely a noticable upgrade. Just wondering if this would be the same.

Not the same. This thread is for the tundra/Sequoia brake master and booster retrofit into a 2nd gen tacoma. What you are asking can be found in a different thread about a bbk setup using t4r/GX oem parts.

Check out @PapaBear for sale post. He's selling both the bbk and master/booster upgrade.

I installed stock new 2010+ 4Runner front rotors, calipers, and ceramic pads on my 2006 Tacoma. I purchased them on eBay in a package deal for $222. The rotors look to be about 3/4" larger.
The stock Tacoma brake backing plate required some trimming which I did with a handheld grinder and a cut off wheel.
The trimming off of the bottom of the backing plate is on the left, the top trimming is on the right.

"The 4Runner rotor is approximately 3/4" larger in diameter, I didn't take any other measurements comparing Tacoma front brakes and 4Runner front brakes. The 4Runner pads look almost 1/3 larger than pads for the Tacoma."

This was all copied and pasted from the first page of this thread from DG92071.

Yes, part of this is about upgrading the master cylinder and booster but he also used different rotors and pads it says. That's what I was getting at. I see in that FS post that it includes different calipers as well, even though the OP didn't mention swapping them out. I figured he used the Tacoma calipers as that is what it looks like. These do look very similar though in comparison. I guess my question is, if I bought PapaBear's BBK just for the front, can I swap all that stuff on WITHOUT swapping the master cylinder/booster? That's all I'm looking to do here.

Yes you can do the calipers and rotors alone and not the master/booster but you will not see a major improvement in performance.
Also its looking like ill only have the front rotors and rear kit available, everything else is pending sale
