Just use Techstream. It will bleed the ABS solenoid. It’s the only way your going to get all the air out.

I do not, however a soda bottle, and a hose that goes to the bottom, with fluid in it acts just like a speed bleeder.

Did my swap after wrapping up a laundry list of maintenance on the truck. Tested it out today and so far it definitely feels more powerful even with air still in the system. I did some abs tests/activation in my driveway and then bled the brakes again but I’m still getting some pedal fade. Not sure if that would actually do the trick but worth a shot lol. Going to link up with a guy who has a tech stream this week hopefully to do the abs bleed then I’ll probably bleed all fours again. Thanks again for the detail on the swap!

Sweet job. I definitely noticed a difference after the techstream was used.

thanks man! I linked up with my guy that has tech stream and for what ever reason it wouldn’t pick up my truck. My OBDii reader does so idk if it was the computer or what. I cycled the abs a few more times in my driveway and was going to bless it one more. But it seems to be behaving normal now as is and I’m likely it a lot. Did you bleed the system again after or during the tech stream auto bleed?

forgot a shot of the brake upgrade as well. Did my rears while I was at it too. Muuuch better stopping power. Had the camper on today and picked up a yard of dirt. Was a big improvement.

What's going on with those pad pins? Look like they're too long, like for the Tundra.

I bled the brakes the best I could going the old school route, drove it to a shop where the flushed and bled the system using techstream.

What upgrade do you do on the rear brakes?

The pins do look a little long but that shouldn't cause any issues.

I did the 4 runner calipers and pads, yeah the left side had these long pins where the right did not. I almost brought it back and exchanged the caliper but they have cotters on the back side in far enough to keep them from working out too far and possibly hitting the wheel. plan to swap in shorter pins on that side soon but shouldn't cause any issues in the mean time.

Hoping to have the lines ready early next week....in both M10 to M12 and M12 to M12. I'll throw up a website link when I have them ready..

Lines only (set of 2) will be $60 shipped, Lines and a Tundra master cylinder will be $145 shipped.

To those that are going to order, please PM me with which lines you want and master cylinder or not, with your email and name/address/phone number...I'll get all the orders lined up so it's easy

People that swap to the Tundra master cylinder without swapping to the Tundra dual diaphragm booster are going to be disappointed, IF a Tundra master cylinder fits a Tacoma booster (I don't remember).

    Tundra MC + Tacoma Booster?
I dont think it will fit without an offset adapter plate like the one below.
Like @DG92071 said, this mod is about the Tundra MC + Tundra Booster retrofit.

I've got a line on some good used Tundra boosters....about 15 of 'em. Pricing would be $225 each and that would include a custom clevis to get the correct pushrod length. Any interest in these?
