I just have to throw a rave out there about my truck! A few days ago while driving to work, I hit some black ice that sent me spinning into and over a 12" high curb along a road. The truck went in at an angle, back passenger side first, blew the tire out then the front followed in and the same thing happened. I was up on two wheels after hitting the curb and going up and over. I don't know how I managed to not roll the truck.

Anyway, outside of the blown passenger tires, there was NO OTHER DAMAGE WHATSOEVER to the truck! No rim damage, nothing bent or scrapped, no dents, bashes, not even the alignment was out, NOTHING! I thought for sure the entire passenger side was tore up! I am gleefullly happy today after getting the truck back having to only replace two tires! My mechanic said he never expected to not find massive damage after seeing what the tires looked like. He told me I should write to Toyota and praise them for using such strong materials in building this truck! I did just that a little while ago!

My pride and joy got through this unscathed. What a relief!

I love my tacoma as much as the next guy here but it sounds like luck was the real MVP here. From the way you describe the accident, you got lucky you didn't flip the truck.

Anyway, glad you (and the tacoma) are ok.
