Glued in all the anodized aluminum Schleuder... ready to put the floor planks in. The aluminum will be the finish edge on all the hatches and transitions.

Glad I don’t have to try and make a living installing floors in RVs! ..very slow going but it will look really nice when I am done...Matching the grains through the hatches.

I have not glued any floor yet but have half of it cut and loose layed... crazy time consuming patterning all the hatches and scribing the cabinets!

just curious, have you weighed this rig? IIRC, the original Chinooks were on 1 ton frames, often with dualies. guessing that when you outfit that thing with water tank, house battery, and propane, plus reasonable travel gear (bedding, clothes, food), you're gonna be WAY over the GVWR for a Tacoma.

No problem I thought LA could have been Louisiana

Sounds like quite an adventure you are on. I look forward to hearing about it.

Drop me a line when you have a date. November is not really that far away.

Saw this cutie at the grocery store today. 3A54EB0A-C81E-47E2-83E1-9DA240D4FE14_zps_8a004d02ecef3a83d3f9af795e676497fb74ad71.jpg
I like the tall side door and step through cab. Op's is way cooler though.

Back working today and got the floors done... I am using some of the Zebrawood to trim out the storage hatches in the Acess cab.

Also picked up the pop up canvas today. It was made by a marine canvas/ sail maker. It is nice. Made out of Stamoid fabric and has zip outs with screens...the top and bottom were reinforced with dacron sail reinforcement so it will take a beating if I get caught in windy conditions...

Thank you Robby! I am NOT a floor specialist...each piece was a scribed in puzzle... the last piece I needed 4 attempts to cut! Inside corners, outside corners...I was happy to be done!

Looks great! Since it's not a "home install" and probably going to get more abuse will you be sealing the cuts before glueing it all down?
