I just hand wash my truck. Rinse it nice with a garden hose sprayer all over, in wheel wells, underbody, anywhere that dirt gets etc. Then I get out the wash mit and a bucket of soapy car wash and go to town. Then i rinse and hand dry it down afterwards Although in the winter this is hard to do. I have an underground garage at work that I can use to detail my truck anytime so I'm spoiled in the winter. But I don't like the high pressure of touch-less car washes and I never trust the touch style car washes. I used to work in a car wash when I was a kid and if the carwash bay hasn't been cleaned well, then those flaps that hit your car are usually covered with fine sand that puts little micro scratches all over your paint.

I have these Tyger "rock sliders" and I will tell you they are a excellent set of steps for the Tacoma. They are more the rock slider look with a step functionality. They are also very well built and have a durable finish. I would buy them again for any Tacoma that wasn't a hard core rock crawler.

No offense OP. The only thing that bugs me about the grille is the Solid-like Toyota Emblem. Reminds me of the old Ford solid emblems that use to be on the tailgates. I like the 16 and 17 front emblems. Just my opinion.

Fancy nutcracker u have there....congrats. You will be loving that adaptive cruise for your 1000 mile move. The great grille debate rolls on.....my opinion (also biased) is 17>18. Kind of like comparing limes to lemons....not much difference.

    Enjoy!

    Congrats on your new truck!

Check out the classified section for running boards. You might find a deal in your area.

Congrats on the new taco! Barcelona Red, baby!
I’d like to give my 2 cents on the seating position. I felt exactly the same, it was my only complaint, but comfort is a big deal.
It’s really strange, but at some point in time, it quit feeling that way. I went from back and leg pain, to having it just feel right. Don’t know how, or why. Maybe you’ll have a similar transformation. Good luck!

Congrats on the purchase @taco_newb

Everyone who buys a new Taco should insist on the "TRD Pro Grill" thrown in for free

I have a garage that's not "heated" but I have a deep freeze and hot water heater in there that normally keeps it 30-40 degrees warmer than outside. For me, unless I've been in a lot of dirt or have let the truck get too dirty I find great results by using the spray McGuires Quik Detailer weekly along with several good Chemical Guys microfibre cloths I wash in their soft microfibre wash. It amazes me how well this stuff keeps my truck looking to the extent I can often go a month or more in dryer periods without ever washing but my truck looks like it rolled of the lot most of the time.

Also - OP, invest in some 303. Will save any black plastic on your truck. I also apply this weekly to my fender flares, etc.,

I felt the same way with my seat. It felt good when I test drove it but about a month or two after buying it the seats started to feel weird....then one day it didnt feel weird anymore. Even when I go between my Jeep and the Taco, the Taco still feels fine now. In fact, I recently took a road trip from NC to FL and back and it felt great.

Lol y'all are so funny. Yes, the limes are part of a car pooja. I swear this forum could become international crime solvers.
