    Hi TacomaWorld,

After about a year of owning my Taco, I finally got out for some real four wheeling. I don't think I've ever been happier with a purchase. I spent a couple days exploring two areas in California's Owens Valley: one day on Coyote Flat near Bishop and another day (pictured) at the Saline Valley Salt Tramway and Cerro Gordo east of Lone Pine.

I'm impressed with the capability of the truck from the factory but, like the rest of us here, I want to add that custom touch and increase capability along the way. I joined TW to crowdsource information and learn from other people's experiences (i.e. mistakes ;)) during the build-out process and hopefully connect with some four-wheeling buddies in my area.

My short term goals for the truck are to replace the stock tires with Goodyear Duratrac 265/75s. The truck sees >90% highway miles and I do a good bit of winter driving to take advantage of snowboard season.

Long term goals include ARB bumpers, side rails, and bed drawers; Warn Zeon winch; OME 2" lift (maybe even BP-51s :D); 33" tires; and 4.88 gears from Nitro.

I'll be asking plenty of questions along the way. Glad to join the community!

    Happy trails,
    Adam
