Thanks - yes I meant buying them for. Would love some for my 2015 OR as I am about to need to change tires, but everything I have seen so far on Craigslist in my area has been $800-$1000. Seemed expensive for factory wheels..

ETA I guess I should have read the rest of the thread :bananadead:

My 2nd gen base model came with 15” steel wheels so, i purchased some ‘16 16” alloys. Do i need to get different TPMS to fit 3rd gen alloys? Been getting conflicting advice

Steel wheel TPMS May be able to be turned around to sit flush in the alloy wheel and work. That applies to 16 inch steel wheels on 6 lug trucks. If you are 5 lug someone will need to chime in. Can’t imagine it is different though.

I picked up a set of wheels off of a 2018 limited Tacoma. Love the way they look on my 2nd Gen compared to the stock steel ones.

First time poster. I just had a brand new set of 2019 wheels put on my 2007. I am really happy about it. They cost me $200 for the wheels and $45 dollars to swap them out. Sorry not the greatest pics.

I got them off a local classified site. Lots of take offs around here but $200 for brand new ones was the best deal I found. Also, I didn't love some of the other 3rd Gen wheel options. I really wanted the 20" 4Runner wheels but have pretty new rubber so that will have to wait.

Got my set for $400. Best money I ever spent. Love the look and dont have to add air every 2-3 weeks. Then turned around and sold my old set for $150 :) :)Tacoma 3-15-19.jpg

It’s amazing what the updated wheels do for the entire truck. IMO they do far more than even a lift or tires.

I picked up a set of TRD Sport take offs (just the rims) from a 2017 for $425CAD yesterday and as soon as I got home was notified of another listing for brand new 2019 take offs for $400.
Not being totally satisfied with the condition of the 2017s, I went back to the bank machine and acquired this second set.

Now comparing them I noticed that the 2017s all have 63cm stamped on the inside of the rim.
On the 2019s (all with the same date code mind you), this measurement varies. Two of them are 62cm, one is 64cm, and another 67cm. I'm wondering what is this measurement exactly?
The man I bought them off of had wanted to put them on his 4runner, however the dealership told him they wouldn't clear his calipers, and am wondering if this number somehow factored into this equation. TIA!

EDIT: With respect to the 4Runner, I found this, which may explain his situation as he did state it was an offset issue. I wasn't paying attention to the model year of his vehicle. I'm still curious about the other measurement marking. Cheers!
