    Hello,
when I bought this taco, the coolant was bright green. I know that Toyota spec coolant is red, but I heard that changing/mixing coolants was bad for an engine. If I do a thorough engine coolant flush, would I be able to replace it with the toyota spec coolant? Can I keep using green coolant? Is that safe for the engine? Any coolant answers/advice/additional tips much appreciated!

I went thru this with my truck I bought that had whatever who knows Coolant in it. If you want to change to red you need to fully flush the system because red and green mixed will destroy the truck, it becomes thick. I drained my radiator and then filled it with distilled water then drained and repeated this until the drain stuff was clear water.

Make sure you turn the heater on full blast when burping with the water so it gets into the heater core.

It took me like 8 gallons of distilled water, use distilled water not drinking water.

Then add the red Toyota stuff.

I hope you ran the engine with heater on high a good while between each fill and drain.
Gotta flush the block as well as the radiator.

azn green is ok if you keep using it, if you dont mind the green you can upgrade to an aluminum champion radiator. Or if youre a purest like me you use toyota pink, its only read if you use the concentrate in adding the distilled warer will turn pink, I dont like doing the math and im lazy so i just buy the pink stuff. If you just bought it, then i would flush the old coolant and replace with azn green or go to the dealer for the toyita coolant. Easy diy vids on u tube, check out timmythetoolman

I installed the koyo alloy rad in my truck that's meant for the manual transmission with an aftermarket trans cooler and it works well. There are some pretty bad stories about the champion rads not fitting correct and failing
