The alignment feels good. I can let go on the fwy and she stays straight. I didn't get a printout though and was tired of waiting I was too happy to get my truck that I forgot to ask for one. The stock jack maxed out will get it just about an inch off the ground. No more room for uneven/soft surfaces.

Thanks for the write-up. I used this procedure yesterday to do the install. Just a note for anyone who will try and tackle this by themselves:

    - dial a friend when it's time to put the new assembly back in to push down on the lower table... Otherwise get the swearing jar out - 'cause they're a pain to fit in there...

    - make sure to line up the bottom of the shock (where the 19mm bolts into the lower table) in between the two of the three top 14mm bolts. Faillure to do this will require you to recompress the spring assembly again to realign them.

    - make sure you have a good set of spring compressors - I can't stress this enough (those bargain jober's just won't cut it - safely that is)...

At the 2.5 setting my truck now sits 3" higher; I'm assuming they will settle half an inch...

Give yourself plenty of time; I have never performed a spring removal and re-assembly, and it took me 4 hours to do this...

I definitely felt a difference in the ride quality - a lot stiffer then I expected - but at max lift I guess that's the price you pay...

Thanks again for the write-up - it was very helpful to get me started.

Just got the alignment done this week, and very glad I did... Apparently leaving it as is would have eaten up my tires pretty good. Besides the truck now handles way better - although he couldn't get it lined up perfectly. Hence my 0.02 from my plugged nickel is: anyone who chooses to put them on the highest setting (like I did) may want to spend the 80 bucks to get it aligned... you'll be glad you did.

Is it necessary to remove the sway bar, lower control arm bolts, and tie rods to get the shocks out? Also, does anyone have the torque specs for any of these components that must be removed?

sorry if this is off topic, the install is great, i have been wanting these for my truck but will they help my ride with having a spacer lift installed right now or will it still feel stiff?

Awesome write up, been looking to lift mine for a while and couldn't decide the best route that fits within my budget..after seeing your install and the results after the install I'm definitely going the 5100 route!

I've read some 5100 install threads where they un-did the UCA bolts, whereas this one un-did the LCA bolts. Is one method generally prefered over the other? Or is it pretty much 6 of one, half dozen of the other? IIRC, the Chilton manual recommends un-doing the UCA...

How much better is the ride with rear 5100s vs. stock? I have the same setup as you up front but am considering swapping out the stock TRD HD shocks out back for 5100s

Any vibration issues? If so how did you counteract them?

looking to order mine this week but I am contemplating if dealing with the vibration is worth it

Sorry I havnt been on in a while. No vibrations. Love the ride. I undid my lower arm because a spacer lift I did on my 07 instructed me to.

No. I did mine and then the tsb a week later so it was aligned with the 5100s. Others having issues?

Well I ask because some members end up having issues with vibrations and then end up having to add shims and stuff.

Gotcha. I did just realize my back is settling and my alignment has loosened up. I think I will drop it to 1.75 and get it aligned again.
