The bed will be 80-84 inches long and 66" wide. I'm sure I could get an 8 foot bed looking nice if I moved the rear axle back but I'm trying to keep this project under control.

You've got quite the Toyota family there, you must do this for a living? Or trying to start your own Fab shop?

I've seen those dots on elements in my line of work but never knew you could 3D map with them like that, that is so damn cool.

What program is that? Solid works? Fusion?

What actually used to take the "scan" with the retro-reflective dots?

What's going in with the leafs on the Taco? Is that an anti-wrap set-up?

I work for a somewhat prominent manufacturer of bumpers and may or may not live on site.

The scanner is a peel 2 handheld scanner made by creaform. It's fairly entry level but does a good job. This scan took 500 stickers, 2 hours to scan, and 3 hours to clean up and export the scan. There are high end ones that you just turn it on and point it in a few spots and it's 100% done but those are over $40k. Eventually, but not yet.

The program in the picture is peel2cad that handles mesh cleanup and exporting and all of the fun stuff. I quite like the program actually.

I then commit a cardinal sin and import it into sketchup, despite having a seat of solidworks. But I got the bed 50% of the way done in the model in about 6 hours, and that's just not something I can do in solidworks that fast. I don't have an internet connection worthing trying fusion with.

I was looking at the leafs and I noticed it was weird to me with all of the partial leaves and assumed it was for axle wrap. I was under the impression it was stock. I'll be swapping them for deavers when I do the lift.

EDIT: They are definitely a bolt on aftermarket item. It's held in place with two U bolts around the spring. The E-brake cable is actually super tight against them and that probably has something to do with why it's so hard to set. I'll check the transmission and engine mounts because sometimes people confuse those being broken with axle wrap.

those are "helper springs" that bolt onto a leaf pack so that when extra load/weight is applied they are factored in. otherwise they sit pretty idle and don't do much

    A wee bit jealous

Is that outside rail for tying things down?

How high above the frame is the bottom of the deck going to be?

And is that door for the fuel filler on the left there? Fuel filler was kind of a pain on mine. Its easy enough to get it working, but getting it so the pump cut off worked correctly took some doing, not a whole lot of room to tweak it in my case.

Yes, the rail is spaced off 3/4".

The deck is 5" above the highest point of the frame. That gives just a little bit of gap when 33s bottom out.

Yep, that's a fuel filler door on the driver's side and hot and cold water and compressed air on the passenger side. It's so close to stock location I don't really need to tweak anything.

Rough estimations show 300-350 pounds for everything except the rear winch.
