    Schully,

So heres what I found out, currently there isnt a way to get the alpine hu to work with the stock review cam to be able to view it whenever, not just when backing up. However, once my schedule frees up a bit, im going to mess around with the HU and get one of the box converters for the video feed and see if I cant wire up something to make it work and post on here. Heres a question for you though, does the HU work directly with your steering wheel controls out of the box? Or do I need to get the PAC converter TR-7 thing? Thanks a lot!

Let me know ASAP if you can get the HU cam to work! It will work with the controls, but you have to buy the accessory that allows you to do it.

Haha sure thing. It should be coming in about 2 days so I'll mess with it and see what I can come up with. Thats to bad about having to buy the accessory to make the steering wheel controls work. The description from Alpines website said it works with most steering wheel controls in most vehicals...guess the tacoma wasnt one of them. thats another 50 bucks ill be shelling out i guess :(

This receiver is compatible with the steering wheel remote controls available in many vehicles. You can take out
your factory radio, put in the Alpine, and still have the convenience of operating your sound system from the steering wheel. Ask your authorized retailer for available interfaces.

There are no interface(s) included with the HU. The bolded line is Alpine's way of saying, "Steering wheel interface is required."

    Schully,

Do you get a sound drop off at about 30-45 seconds after starting the vehicle. It's not even a half-second but is noticable? I've used two different Ipods and get the same thing, so I know it's not those. I'm trying to determine if it's the HU or the amp causing this.

    Thanks

you might want to turn off the ALBUM ART FUNCTION on the ipod, i have heard this on my w505 with other ipods, but it doesnt do it with my touch at all. Its almost like the IPOD pauses when the album art comes up
