    I’m curious what audio installer would let a vehicle out the door to a paying customer having installed a hum in the system.

    Just going on the two suggestions here, it’s unacceptable that they would either improperly ground or fail to correctly set up the gains on an amplifier they just installed. Even if it’s a signal wire issue, still unacceptable.

    They either didn’t listen to it, or didn’t care. Don’t go back, except to have them remedy the issue.

    Cant say I’m surprised. Shops around me really don’t care and customers don’t really notice. Only one is actually good around me but people don’t like paying the price for a good install
