I totaled my truck today. I was driving to Gainesville from WCU on 365 doing about 70 MPH in a 65 MPH zone. I see this lady crossing the highway from the north bound lanes and I see her stop in the median so I didn't slow down thinking that she was stopped. Well next thing I know she is halfway across the south bound lanes and about 15 feet in front of my truck. I had just enough time to the "Oh shit" and that was it. I slammed on my brakes but it is like I didn't slow down a bit because she crossed so close in front of me. Spun her car around 180 degrees and she hit the van that was stopped trying to cross the highway. The wreck destroyed the front of my truck and the engine bay looks like a sardine can. The front bumper mounts are embedded in the car that I hit. I was wearing my seatbelt but the driver of the Crown Victoria (the car that pulled out in front of me) wasn't wearing her seatbelt I don't think. When I got out of the truck she was sitting in the passenger seat. I have never been in a wreck like this and I honestly hope that I am never in one again.

As far as I could tell the truck looks totaled. I don't have any pictures of the wreck but luckily the lady who witnessed the wreck had a camera and her iPhone and I got her email and she said she would email me some pictures. I am going to try and stop by the lot my truck is in to see if I can get anymore pictures. I don't think I am going to have time to pull the parts off (lift, tires, muffler, sliders) before the insurance adjuster gets there. I will upload the pictures as soon as I get them.

As promised here are the pictures the lady was able to take at the scene. DO NOT ASK ME FOR MY FLOOR MATS, TOOL BOX, OR ANY OTHER PART YOU ARE INTERESTED IN. If I am able to, I will pull what I can and what I no longer want I will sell.

Here is the Crown Vic I hit. All the windows got busted out and I thought all the glass raining down on my hood was my windshield but it was still intact.

Here is the lady's van that got hit as well. When the Crown Vic spun around, it ended up hitting her bumper.

This side is the one that hit the van.

Here is the side I hit. Notice the front bumper mount embedded in the side of her car. The rest of the mounts that were on the truck looked like someone professionally removed the mounts. Clean cut on both sides.

And this is what is left of my baby :( I had a difficult time getting out because the rocker panels were bent to the point I had to keep kick the inside of my door to get out.

Here you can really see how far back the engine bay got pushed back. Notice the dents on the front passenger door. And there goes my baby :(

I honestly do not know. When I got out of the truck I heard a horn blaring and realized it was the person I hit. When I looked over I could only see one person in the vehicle which was the person in the passenger seat so I immediately thought "Oh shit I just killed someone" because I thought the driver was slumped over the steering wheel. I asked the first person that walked up to me and he said that he didn't know how she was and that he thought there was more than one person which made the "I just killed someone" thought sink even deeper. There was not another person in the vehicle and as soon as EMS got there they took her to the hospital. I asked the EMT that was looking over me how she was and he said as far as he could see there was nothing major and that she would be ok.
