so i had a check engine light on for a while, i checked it out and found out it was just an O2 sensor.
didnt feel the need to replace it ASAP because im working as a camp counselor and im in Kings Canyon for most of the summer.
i had a 3 day break so i took it to AAMCO where 4 codes showed up. wooopeee!
misfiring in #3 and #4 cylinders, burnt valve, and #3 cylinder is running at 70psi when the others are at 180.

needless to say Oops. now i have to pull the top end off and fix this bad boy.

lesson learned: ALWAYS take care of engine work ASAP.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
What was the code? An O2 sensor shouldn't have caused that. I had run mine for over a year and a half with a bad O2.

I am a little confused as to what you are trying to say here. (I don't get it...)

The O2 just tells the ECU whether the CAT is functioning properly. It really doesn't change engine performance. The AFR (located infront of the CAT and mistaken as an O2 sensor) measures the Air/Fuel ratio in the exhaust can have an affect on th engine performance.

all the o2 senser can really do is cause your check engine light to come on and your fuel to burn rich it wouldnt cause top end problems

i know, i understand that it DOES NOT affect it.

i must have said something wrong earlier, or its never heard of that more than one things is wrong with a truck.
i just meant to say everything that was wrong with my truck, not that it caused it.

    im regretting posting this, haha
